the problem

the tool is never the point,

You watched the match. You know exactly which pivot got isolated and why the left side kept collapsing. Then you open Keynote, drag eleven grey circles around, type the names from memory, get two of them wrong, and the moment has passed.

what it doesn't do

and won't pretend to

  • NOSimulation. Moving a player does not predict an outcome. That needs per-touch event data and a validated model. Public data cannot support it, and a confident wrong answer is worse than none.
  • NOLive match data. Underlap is for thinking and publishing, not for matchday. Different product, different infrastructure.
  • NOEvery league on day one. Premier League first, done properly. More competitions follow once the pipeline has survived a full season.
  • NOVideo. Your clips live where they already live. Underlap draws the diagram.

Underlap is a tactics board for football analysts

Underlap lets you build a starting XI from real Premier League squad data, drag players anywhere on the pitch, mark up runs and space with arrows and zones, and export the result as an image you can publish. Boards save to your account so you can revisit and build a series across a season.

Signing in. Underlap uses Google Sign-In, or a one-time link sent to your email, to create your account. When you use Google we request only your name, email address and profile picture. That is used to identify your account and keep your saved boards attached to it — nothing else.

Underlap never posts on your behalf and asks for no access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
